Thanks to everyone for registering on our website. With a year to go, we already have over 270 people interested in our event! Thank you very much for waiting so patiently for our update. With generous support and backing from Creative Fibre we have been able to go ahead and host the event which we hugely appreciate.
We are so very excited to get to this point and to be able to share this news and announce or headline tutors.
Firstly, to confirm, the dates for the 25th convergence are as follows:
– We open with registration and welcome on the afternoon of Thursday 25th September 2025 with an opening dinner that night.
– Learning will start on Friday 26th September and go through to Monday 29th September.
– Finishing with our farewell dinner on Monday night.
The venue will be The Parnell Conference Centre and Parnell District School. The same venue as the highly successful 2015 Convergence.
We are thrilled to announce that our keynote tutor is Nancy Ballesteros of Treetop Harmonies. Nancy is an extremely experienced and talented felter as well as being a gifted teacher.

We are so happy that Nancy has accepted our invitation as she has not taught in NZ for quite a few years. She has amazing creativity in so many different areas of feltmaking. Several of which she will share with us at our convergence. More details to come in future updates.
Our first ever zoom tutor will be Katia Mokeyeva:

Katia is very experienced at teaching online and we are using this opportunity to introduce Katia to a wider antipodean audience. She has a wonderful technique she is going to share with us.
In addition to these two global felting icons, and in the spirit of Convergence that we all know and love, there will of course be a program of volunteer tutors sharing a wide range of techniques and ideas too.
Registration will open in early February 2025. To confirm your attendance a deposit will be required at that time. More details in our next update.
