While taking a break from sunbathing by the pool, we hope you managed to read over the wonderful classes that our two international tutors are preparing to teach at Convergence?
So now, after further drum rolling, we thought you’d like to know a bit more before Registration opens on Sat Feb 1st.
In addition to the groups and companies we listed in the last update we are delighted to receive sponsorship from the Southern Felters and Teri Berry Fibres – thank you for your very kind donations! The generosity of all our sponsors pays for some of the hireage fees and teaching costs which has helped us to lower the base fee for Convergence (click on the photos for more information).

What will it cost?
Everyone attending Convergence will need to be a member of Creative Fibre due to the requirements of our Public Liability insurance cover.

Therefore, the base fee for Convergence will vary depending on your Creative Fibre membership status;
$825 for current Creative Fibre members
$845 for NZ non-members
$855 for overseas non-members
Do I need to take out CF membership before I register for Convergence?
If you are not currently a member of Creative Fibre you can add a 6-month membership to cover the Convergence event to your final invoice. We will complete your membership application for you.
Should you wish to take out a membership before then you will need to add your membership details to the registration form.
What’s included in the base fee:
- 4 days of felt learning and sharing
- 4 ½ days of meeting old acquaintances and making new friends with other felt-makers from Australasia and beyond
- 4 dinners, 4 lunches, morning and afternoon teas (we will have one afternoon / evening off to explore Auckland)
- Evening entertainment
- The opportunity to display your work in an exhibition
- A room full of traders selling all manner fibre and felting related products
- The opportunity to purchase at the suitcase sale

The Registration Process
Once registration opens an email will be sent out to everyone who has signed up for updates on our webpage.
- The email will contain a link to an online form for you to complete
- The deposit payment of $400 NZD will be due by 20th March 2025
- The balance will be due by 31st July 2025
- There will be accommodation options offered for discounted rates at both The Parnell Conference Centre, (the Convergence main venue) and The Auckland Rose Park Hotel, nearby. The discount codes will be in the Registration form and can be booked with both hotels directly. Further details about the options will be on the form.

What now you ask?
Tell all your felting friends and spread the word!
Find some fibre, soap and get foaming up with excitement about coming to Convergence 😊
Keep an eye on your inbox from the end of January and remember to book those September dates off work!
Happy planning!
