Auckland Felters are excited to be hosting our first group exhibition at the Franklin Arts Centre in Pukekohe from Tue 18th June until Mon 8th July 2024, titled:
Resilience – The Fibre That Connects Us
All of the pieces in our exhibition include either wet- or needle-felted wool.
We will be holding a large “Celebration of Felt” open day on Saturday 22nd June that will include:
- Free felting taster sessions (come and have a go – places will be limited so be sure to arrive in plenty of time to sign up for your favourite session)
- Felting demonstrations throughout the day
- Traders supplying wool, other fibres, yarns and tools suitable for felting and other crafts.
- Hand-made, felted gifts, clothing, accessories, homewares and more!
- Live music
Always wanted to try felting? This is your chance – see you there!
Take a look at our online exhibtion catalogue to whet your appetite. All the pieces look sooo much better in person and there are a few “feely” pieces for you to touch too!
There’s lots of free parking at the back of the Franklin Arts Centre (accessible from Edinburgh St) and a lovely cafe too, why not make it a day out with friends and whanau?
Confirmed artists taking part in this exhibition will include (more will be confirmed shortly):
- Lynn Hefkey
